Jumps from hostel

An engineering third year student ended his life on Friday evening by jumping from a private hostel building near Yadagiri theatre in Kanchanbagh, allegedly after his friends made some sarcastic comments on his behaviour, the police said.

“We’re told the student got annoyed after some of his friends made some veiled comments connecting him to some thefts recently reported there,” the police said.

Around 6.45 p.m., Sagar went up the hostel building and jumped to death, the police told reporters.
