Kat`s saree state of affairs

Suddenly going from glam to de-glam for Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti wasn’t an easy transition for Katrina Kaif who plays a political leader in the film. Being one of the most fashionable actresses today, donning light coloured sarees to suit her role was a bone of contention between the director and the pretty actress.

The initial discussion about the saree shades could have easily escalated into a full-blown argument. A source from the unit said, “Katrina plays a politician and Jha had selected the costumes to suit her character.

However, Katrina expressed her doubts about wearing the dull sarees and asked Jha to let her wear simple but dark coloured sarees.

She particularly wasn’t convinced about the off-white sarees she was asked to wear.”

Jha patiently explained to Katrina that he had a reason why he wanted her to wear the drab sarees.

“He told her that though she is an actress, she plays a politician and it’s essential that she wear such colours in Raajneeti.

The discussion went on for a long time and nearly erupted into an argument. Eventually, Katrina did understand Jha’s point of view,” added the source.

Prakash Jha laughed at the incident and said, “It was a healthy discussion.” Katrina was unavailable for comment.
